Steps

Schools, high schools, and partner associations of MasterPeace Romania receive an invitation to participate in the event. Each organization can form a team of 4 participants: 3 delegates for the committees (the team decides which committee each delegate will join) and 1 ambassador for the General Assembly. Participants must complete the registration form, filling in all required fields.

Participants receive an account for the MUR25 platform via the email used during registration (username and password). Once logged in, they can access all event materials, including guides and examples. Additionally, they will be added to a WhatsApp group specific to the committee they will join.

Participants are required to read the event guide and attend the training workshop held before the event. The workshop will be announced in advance by the staff via email or the official WhatsApp group.

Each team will be assigned a country to represent. They must conduct research and prepare two documents according to the MUR25 guide. These documents should contain relevant information specific to the topic of their committee and will serve as the starting point for debates during the event. Completed documents must be submitted to the staff for review by the deadline announced via email or WhatsApp.

Committees

It explores policies and frameworks that strengthen social cohesion, equity, and justice. It focuses on inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and the protection of vulnerable groups in a rapidly changing world.

Topic: Exploring AI approaches to build inclusive, equitable, and sustainable learning for learners with special needs, multilingual, or refugee backgrounds.

It addresses the role of scientific progress in tackling global challenges. It emphasizes innovation, ethical research, and equitable access to scientific knowledge as foundations for sustainable development.

Topic: Harnessing AI to drive innovation, advance research, and promote sustainable, high-quality STEM education globally.

It examines how cultural heritage and educational systems shape inclusive and sustainable societies. It works to balance the safeguarding of traditions with the promotion of equitable, high-quality learning opportunities for all.

Topic: Promoting ethical AI use to preserve local heritage, support cultural programs, and enrich educational experiences.

It serves as the central decision-making body of Model UNESCO. It brings together all member states to debate, negotiate, and adopt resolutions on global issues, reflecting the collective vision and priorities of the organization.

Topic: Leading the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024–2033), with a focus on the role of AI in education.

1. Who can participate in Model UNESCO Romania?

Model UNESCO Romania is a closed event, open only to schools, associations, and partners invited by MasterPeace Romania, the organizer. Participants must be young people aged 15 to 20 years.

2. Do I need prior experience or have I participated in similar events before?

No prior experience is required. Model UNESCO Romania is designed for learning, and participants receive plenty of materials to understand the event and its processes from the very beginning.

3. What benefits can I gain from participating?

Participation offers personal development opportunities, helping you improve communication, negotiation, leadership, and critical thinking skills. It also provides a chance to engage with peers in an international-style simulation and broaden your understanding of global issues. The best delegates and ambassadors will be recognized with certificates, trophies, or other awards, ensuring that their effort and achievements are rewarded.

4. How does the event work?

Once participants register with their invitation, they receive a personal account with a username and password. Through the platform, they can access all event materials, communicate with the staff, and prepare for their roles in the committees.

5. What language is spoken during the event?

The official language spoken at Model UNESCO Romania is English. Participants are recommended to have at least a B1 level to understand materials, follow discussions, and communicate effectively during the event.
